Reach the editorial desk
The Dividend Desk is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. Its subject is one measurement, taken from named public sources and republished with the date and the hour it was read. This page says what is worth writing about, what a correction leads to, and what the desk cannot answer.

Reporting a suspected error
A figure that looks wrong is worth writing about. So is a source that has moved or closed, a question about how the measurement is taken, or a correction. The desk reads the text of the income tax convention between the United States and the Philippines as published by the US tax authority, and recalculates peso amounts at a rate taken from two independent sources at every reading. If a number on these pages does not match what a reader finds at the linked source, the desk wants to know.
The treaty rate applies to a holder entitled to it who has filed the required form with the broker. A reader who believes a figure is wrong should include the table, the date, and what the linked source shows. That is enough for the desk to begin checking. The desk does not answer questions about whether a reader qualifies for the treaty rate or whether a form was filed correctly with a broker.
How corrections are dated and kept
A figure that is wrong is corrected and the correction is dated. The desk checks the figure against the named source, and if the source itself has changed, the desk reads the new source and updates the link. The correction appears on the same page as the original figure, with the date the correction was made. A reader who reported the error is not named, because the desk does not collect names or contact details beyond the email address the reader used.
The desk does not promise a correction within a fixed number of hours. A check may take longer if the source is slow to load or if the desk has to compare two independent sources for the exchange rate. But every message about a figure is read, and a confirmed error is corrected. The desk does not leave a wrong figure up with a note saying it is being checked.
Desk limitations and affiliate link
The desk cannot give personal investment advice. It cannot say whether a reader should buy, sell, or hold any security. It cannot help with a broker's account, including opening, closing, or troubleshooting. It cannot tell a reader which broker to use, or whether a broker's fees are fair. It cannot give tax advice, including whether a reader is entitled to the treaty rate or whether a form was filed correctly.
The desk cannot answer questions about the affiliate link. The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. But the desk does not know whether a reader opened an account, and cannot help with any part of that process. The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site.
Contact and privacy
Writing to [email protected] reaches the desk. The desk reads every message, but it does not reply to all of them. A message that reports a wrong figure will be checked, and if the figure is wrong, it will be corrected. A message that asks a question the desk cannot answer will not receive a reply, because the desk does not give advice or help with broker accounts.
The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs; the site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them.
